Previous Events
- Visiting Scientist Program- Oct 16th, 2008. This was a joint event with AAPS student chapter at the Duquesne University. Dr. Richard Lalonde from Pfizer was our visiting scientist.
- November 1-2, 2008- School of Pharmacy’s Graduate Education and Research at the University of Pittsburgh (GEAR-UP) Program. The purpose of this weekend program is to introduce pharmaceutical sciences graduate education to interested students recruited nationally. Some of the planned events include ˝ day rotations in two laboratories, a poster session displaying current graduate student work, and an informal lunch and dinner with graduate students.
- December 2008 International Lunch. Social lunch (home made food) for graduate students and faculty. End of year celebration.
Future Events
- Career day involving students from multiple chapters, recruiters, and representatives from both academia and industry.
- Developing a Professional CV. This event will be headed by the School of Pharmacy Dean.
-“Face-to-Face” this event will involve professional and graduate students, faculty, and alumni from the School of Pharmacy. This forum will provide an opportunity for professional and graduate students to network and receive career advice from distinguished alumni.
