- Graduate program in the pharmaceutical sciences: The School of Pharmacy offers graduate education at the masters and doctoral level for highly motivated, qualified individuals seeking a career in the pharmaceutical sciences. The program is designed to provide a stimulating environment for students with a wide variety of backgrounds to receive education and training in the design and implementation of basic and clinical studies relating to the discovery, development, and clinical use of pharmaceutical agents.
- The Clinical Pharmaceutical Scientist Program: It is a specialty PhD training track in which students with expertise in pharmacotherapeutics learn to be independent scientists utilizing contemporary research approaches to investigate both the clinical and mechanistic elements of drug therapy issues, are involved in human based research as part of their thesis research. These human based studies may include, clinical study design, investigational review board approval, and/or outcomes research. This specialty training track is available in each of the four major research focus areas of the PhD program, including: Drug Disposition and Response; Genomics, Proteomics, and Drug Discovery; Drug Targeting and Delivery; and NeuroEndocrine Pharmacology.
